Playas del Coco Profile
Playas del Coco lies between Playa Hermosa and Playa Ocotal and can be reached within half an hour from Liberia International Airport.
As all other beach places in the area it is settled on a bay.
Playa del Coco also called ‘el Coco’ originally was a fishermen village and has grown to the largest beach community in the region.
Playas del Coco is the most lively beach destination it has numerous souvenir shops and restaurants, bars and a couple of dancing places.
A large number of foreigners live in Playas del Coco and have opened a local business.
The Pacifico resort, a beautiful mixed-use development with villas and condos hosts Automercado, which is the supermarket chain with the largest selection of foreign food products in Costa Rica.
Playas del Coco provides the best infrastructure in comparison with other beach places (banks, various supermarkets, doctor’s offices etc).
There are plenty of sports activities and excursions offered.
In the evening it gets really busy, tourists and young adults come to Playas del Coco to enjoy nightlife.
Playas del Coco Real Estate
The main street down to the beach is a good place for commercial real estate.
There are some calm residential zones with nice homes.
Pacifico is a gated community with a large number of condos, townhouses and single family homes; many foreigners have bought into that community.
Pacifico also offers a beach club, a small plaza with shops, gym, restaurants etc.

Go to Automercado and get what you cannot buy in other supermarkets.
